Fanart Feature: Rookie425

Hey there everyone, welcome to Halo Spotlight. The place where Halo community creations are put front and centre. In fanart features, we highlight artists and their creations.

In this fanart feature, we’re showing off artwork by Rookie425. Like some of our other featured artists, Rookie425 creates artwork using Source Filmmaker, or SFM as it’s more commonly known.

Rookie425 was kind enough to send over 7 fantastic pieces to be featured, which you can find below.

    Can You Forgive Me, Friend

    Reunion Tour

    Rescuers

    Expedition

    Stay Close And Quiet

    Camp LAKE FRONT

    Hell to Repel (Longshot)

We asked Rookie425 exactly how the above pieces were made, and this was their response:

“I use Source Film Maker, which you probably have seen is pretty popular among Halo fan creators that are just getting into making fan art. It’s all primarily done in SFM, with some adjustments in photoshop, but nothing like intricate edits.

I only use it for some corrections here and there; brightness and contrast, hue/saturation, spot healing, some bloom effects, and sharpness. Oh yeah, a noise layer too. All inspirations by my very good friend Soulburnin.
