Cosplayer Q&A: Sanghelios Customs

Hello everyone, and welcome to Halo Spotlight. This piece is the first ever Cosplayer Q&A for the site. As the name implies, we have a sit down with a Halo Cosplayer and ask some questions.

In this Q&A we spoke to Sanghelios Customs, a Halo Cosplayer and Prop creator from Italy. Known for his Warden Eternal Cosplay, Sanghelios Customs has created all sorts of wonderful Halo themed items and props.

This Q&A was done via Twitter, so unfortunately there is no audio version to accompany it. Also, some answers may have slight alterations to make the reading process easier, but we tried to keep things as close to the original answers as possible.

The Writing Spartan asked Sanghelios Customs a range of questions. You can find the answers below, so please enjoy.

Question: For those who may be unfamiliar with your work, could you give us some background on who you are and what you create?

Hi, I’m Oscar Fabozzi from Italy, I am 33 years old. I have (owned) a hardware store for 10 years and for a hobby I’ve created Halo props from almost 3 years.

Question: How did you get into prop making and cosplay?

I‘m a big Halo fan, for almost 20 years. I in particular deeply love the arbiter, so almost 7 years ago I decided to start this passion and created an arbiter cosplay.

Question: What has been your most challenging build so far?

After the release of Halo 5 Guardians, I was particularly impressed by the Warden Eternal design. I knew it would be a particularly difficult project, but after 2 years of patience and dedication I managed to come up with one of my greatest pieces.

Question: What is your favourite creation out of everything you’ve made?

Obviously my most loved project is my dear Warden Eternal. In particular because thanks to him I had a lot of satisfaction, and was even contacted for the first time by 343 Industries. It was a unique honour and thanks to this I bought some 3d printers and managed to throw myself into the world of prop making.

Question: Do you have any projects or props you’d love to build in the future, but haven’t gotten around to yet?

At the moment I am dedicating myself to the many commissions that I have in progress. (It) is not simple for me create new projects at moment. Regarding cosplay, I will now wait for the release of Halo Infinite and surely I will finally have the right inspiration that I have been looking for a long time.

Question: Are you currently working on anything?

For now I am mainly devoting myself to UNSC weapons. I am also starting to work on various projects on Halo Infinite weapon designs, but one thing I miss so much is finally getting back to making a covenant weapon.

Question: Where could people go to find updates or images of your props and cosplays?

Here are all my channels where you can see updates and news about my projects and works. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Etsy.

A huge thank you to Sanghelios Customs for talking with The Writing Spartan. We really appreciate the time it took to translate the answers from Italian to English too. We all suggest checking Sanghelios Customs on their socials above.
