Hey there everyone, welcome to Halo Spotlight. The place where Halo community creations are put front and centre. In fanart features, we highlight artists and their creations.
In this fanart feature, we’re showing off artwork by DerGruneMann. Much like our previous fanart feature Rookie425, DerGruneMann creates artwork using Source Filmmaker.
As always, we requested permission for the artwork to be featured, along with asking for some artwork to go in the piece. You can find the pieces DerGruneMann sent over below.
3rd Irish Regiment
Extraterrestrial Deterrance
Inika Heroes
Lucette Du’Toit
Medical Journalism
Spartan Hussars – Mustafa
We asked DerGruneMann about the creative process behind the above pieces, and this was their response:
“I guess the only thing I can add in terms of the creative process is that I try to stick with a more flat, photo realistic approach in SFM. My content is mostly recreations of real photos, events, movies, etc.
Though, I’ve moved or changed my approach slightly in favour of a more colourful setup like Rookie425 and Matthewo1o. I just like referencing pop culture and past conflicts in a halo aesthetic.”
