Fanart Feature: New Age Goku

Hey there everyone, welcome to Halo Spotlight. The place where Halo community creations are put front and centre. In fanart features, we highlight artists and their creations.

In this piece, we’ve got some artwork to show off. This artwork is known as SFM art, which stands for Source Filmmaker, the program used to create such artwork.

New Age Goku has shown a high level of skill and patience when it comes to creating this type of artwork, so we’re happy to feature their work.

The 4 pieces below all give a different feeling. Some being action orientated, and some being calm. Please enjoy New Age Goku’s work below.

    Redux

“THIS ONE WAS ACTUALLY A REMAKE (HENCE THE TITLE) OF MY VERY FIRST SFM RENDER, WHICH DIDN’T HAVE A TITLE.”

    Feet First

“THIS ONE IS TITLED ‘FEET FIRST’. IT’S A VERY SIMPLE PIECE SCENE-WISE, BUT I FOUND IT TO BE A VERY REWARDING EXERCISE IN RIM LIGHTING (THE ORANGE ONE HIGHLIGHTING HIS EDGES).”

    Purple Haze

“THIS RENDER IS TITLED ‘PURPLE HAZE’, IT WAS MY FIRST (AND ONLY FOR NOW) RENDER TO FEATURE WATER, AND THE PURPLE/RED HIGHLIGHT WAS A LITTLE TEST IDEA I HAD TO TEST SOME PHOTOSHOP SKILLS.”

    Interlude

“‘INTERLUDE’ IS MY FIRST PIECE TO FEATURE BLOOM (THE GLOWY BITS WHERE THE LIGHT HITS AND OVEREXPOSES THE CAMERA), IT ALSO SHOWS MY CUSTOM CHARACTER JERICHO WITH HIS HELMET OFF. HE’S THE SAME CHARACTER FROM ‘PURPLE HAZE’, AND IS AN AMALGAMATION OF REACH, HALO 4, AND EVEN CUSTOM MODELS.
FUN FACT: THE CHARACTER IS PLAYING AN E-FORM MINOR CHORD.”
